WHOOPS! I forgot to blog last night.
Yesterday was a good day. I got up at 5:30am and exercised. I tried a new workout called Sexy Sweat or Sweat Sexy. It was neither sexy or sweaty. I was disappointed, but in the mornings I don't have time to search for something else. However, it must have worked something because my buns are a little sore today. Tomorrow - Jillian Michaels...such a bitch!
I did a no-no today - stepped on my scale. BLAH!!! I was up 2 pounds!! WTF!! I won't let it discourage me.
I stayed within my calorie limit. I drank my water and I exercised.

Day 3 - Fail = BLAH
Today I fell off the wagon. ON. DAY. 3!!! All well, I won't let it get me down. I was only 63 calories over my daily goal, so it wasn't too bad. I'm paying for it now though. My stomach feels like it has lead brick sitting in it.
Today's slip started at lunch when I went to Taco Bell. It was dinner at Jimmy John's that put me over. I made smart choices though, knowing that I was going to blog about it and register it on MFP. No chips, no drinks, no cookies. Just the basics. I have to say, with eating fast food for 2 of my meals, I thought I was going to be WAY over my calorie limit.
Tomorrow is a new day. I'll be up at 5:30 ready to exercise.
Today's goals achieved:
Water
Logged my food

Day 2 - 5:30am....say what??!!
As I mentioned in my first blog, one of my goals was to work out in the morning 3 days a week. People at work were talking about 3 days not being enough, but you know, for someone who hasn't worked out in...a long time...3 days a week is a great goal. PLUS, back when I did get fit and trim, I did that on an aerobics class that happened only 2 days per week. Ok, I'm older and my metabolism isn't reved as high, I'm still sticking with my 3 days for now. If at some point during this 8 week journey I want to add more workouts, then I will.
Today, I got up...at 5:40 and got my gear on to work out. I did the same cardio workout as on Sunday. It's hard to get up, it's hard to exercise - it's just hard, but I have a goal. I did it!! YES!
I've read that working out in the morning has benefits - it kick starts your metabolism, I'm burning calories before I even intake any for the day, and gets the endorphins flowing. However, there is a downside - I crashed about 9am today. I gave in and had a 1/2 of a 20oz bottle of Diet Coke. Once I got over that hump, I was great for the rest of the day.
Today I:
Exercised
Ate within my calorie amount
Drank my water

Day 1 - it's a potty party!
The goal of week one of the challenge is to increase our water intake. 64oz per day. On our dedicated Facebook page, all I've read about is all the potty time we're now having!
Today I have done quite well. I drank the water, I kept my food diary current in My Fitness Pal, and I lots of veggies.
New product alert: Lean Cuisine Salad Additions are yummy! I tried the asian inspired one. All you do is pop the protein bag into the microwave for 2 min. Once cooked, toss it onto a bed of lettuce, pour on the dressing and crunchies....YUM. The protein bag not only had chicken, but also diced peppers, edemame beans and pineapple. The dressing was an asian ginger dressing. For 260 calories, it was filling and a definite go-to lunch.
Tomorrow I am going to get up at 5:30 and work out. I'm hoping that it'll give me energy throughout the day.

Biggest Loser challenge.
After years of gaining weight, it's time to stop. Stop settling for being this size. Stop settling that my weight is fine. Just stop.
My MOMs Club started another Biggest Loser challenge and I always join and start off great, but then I fizzle out. This time will be different. I'm not going to settle.
Small goals:
1. Exercise in the morning 3X/week
Studies have shown that working out in the morning is best. Although it's not my favorite I will do this.
2. Water water water
3. More veggies
4. Blog daily - and keep up on My Fitness Pal which is part of the Biggest Loser challenge.
That's it. That's all I'm going to do for now. No overwhelming goals. Just get it done. It'll be hard. It'll be challenging, but I can do it.
I've done it before.
